NONESUCH WORKS
Protecting artistic intent through strategy and execution
For artists navigating what comes next.
About
London, UK. Artist representation. Brand collaboration negotiation. Public art commission production. Experiential installation management. Creative project management. UK and international delivery.
Nonesuch Works is a London-based creative consultancy specialising in artist representation, brand collaboration negotiation, public art commission production, experiential installation management and creative project management for visual artists. Based in London, UK. Working internationally.
Nonesuch exists to help artists navigate opportunities without losing what makes the work theirs.
It also works with the partners shaping those opportunities: helping define briefs, collaborations and commissions before an artist is brought in.
Creative careers do not move in straight lines. The support around them should not have to either. Nonesuch works alongside artists at the moments that matter: a commission, a collaboration, a decision, a period of growth. It steps back when it is not needed. The structure fits the work, not the other way round.
Led by Lucy Clarke, Nonesuch draws on experience across large-scale public art, brand collaborations and complex commissions delivered across multiple countries. The work is hands-on, selective, and genuinely bespoke.
How It Works
Nonesuch supports artists directly, and also works with the partners, commissioners and organisations shaping projects around them.
For artists, that can mean one-to-one support around opportunities, positioning, commissions and next steps. For partners, it can mean helping shape the brief, define the right fit, and support a project through to delivery.
Why Nonesuch
Creative work needs more than logistics.
It needs someone who can recognise what matters in the work, understand the thinking behind it, and help carry that through without losing its intent. Nonesuch brings commercial expertise and creative understanding together, offering artist representation and project management without the constraints of a traditional agency or gallery structure.
The experience behind Nonesuch spans international public art productions, experiential installations, artist-brand collaborations and complex creative project management delivered across eight countries and contexts. This includes permanent public artworks, large-scale experiential commissions, global brand partnerships and commercial licensing agreements.
Projects have ranged from smaller strategic support and fee negotiation to full production management on commissions exceeding £2 million, with work delivered alongside global brands, hospitality groups, heritage sites and cultural organisations in the UK and internationally. Artists supported have ranged from those just beginning to gain traction to internationally exhibited figures.
Nonesuch stays intentionally selective and hands-on.
Experience includes projects delivered alongside: Coal Drops Yard, Hendricks Gin, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Rosewood Hotels, Battersea Power Station, National Lottery, Mastercard, Apple TV, Hyundai.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a live project to get in touch?
No. Some artists come with something specific already on the table. Others are at an earlier point, thinking through direction, or wanting support before anything formal lands. Either is fine. If it feels relevant, it's worth a conversation.
Is this artist management?
There are no long-term representation agreements, no exclusivity, no commission on work that Nonesuch didn't touch. The structure fits the project or the period of work, and steps back when it's not needed.
How are fees structured?
Per project or per session, agreed in advance. For project work, fees are percentage-based and scoped to the level of involvement. For strategy and mentoring, sessions are fixed fee. Nothing is open-ended.
Can brands or studios get in touch too?
Yes. If you're looking for a creative partner who can help scope, manage or deliver a project involving artists, get in touch.
Is this right for me?
Nonesuch works best for determined artists who want ownership over their career and who want support that respects that. It's about having someone in your corner who knows how this works and will fight for the work when it matters.
How do I get started?
Email hello@nonesuchworks.com with a brief outline of what you are working on or thinking through. Whatever stage you are at, get in touch and we will work out what makes sense.
What does creative project management for artists involve?
Creative project management for artists covers the commercial and logistical side of delivering a project: negotiating fees, reviewing and drafting contracts, scoping deliverables, managing client relationships and overseeing production timelines. Nonesuch handles this work on the artist's behalf so the artist can stay focused on the creative work itself. The level of involvement is agreed at the outset and scoped to what the project actually needs.
Can you help negotiate a brand collaboration fee?
Yes. Negotiating brand collaboration fees is one of the most common reasons artists get in touch. This includes advising on what a fair fee looks like for the scope of work and the brand's budget, identifying what is missing from an initial offer, understanding usage rights and licensing terms, and structuring a counter-proposal. This can be done through a one-to-one strategy session or as part of full project support if you want Nonesuch to negotiate directly on your behalf.
Do you support public art commission projects?
Yes. Public art commission support is a core part of the Nonesuch Works offer. This includes contract structuring, fee negotiation, stakeholder management, production oversight and delivery management for permanent and temporary public artworks, experiential installations and large-scale site-specific commissions. Experience covers commissions in both the UK and internationally, across public, private and corporate contexts.
